The territory around Tortolì is typical Sardinian, very varied with beautiful beaches, the wild hinterland and the mountainous backdrop of Gennargentu.
Tortolì has always been defined as a town between the sea and the pond and perhaps this characteristic has proved favorable to it.
The town is also crossed by a small river, the Rio Foddeddu, which flows directly into the sea near the port.
